Jackson Butler - Partner, MADE Brands

Jackson, a licensed California Architect, has been practicing design and architecture for over twenty-five years, taking on various design, architecture and leadership capacities with SERA Architects, Looney & Associates, EDG Interior Architecture and Design, GAP Inc., Brooks Scarpa, and Frank Gehry and Associates. His work has been cited in a variety of design and architectural publications from Metropolis, Architecture, Interior Design, to winning “Best New Home” for Metropolitan Home. He received his Master’s of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles, where his thesis, “Study of Gender in the American Tract Home”, won Best Thesis. He was awarded a Robert Mangurian grant to travel and study for three months at Hadrian’s Villa in Tivoli, Italy. He also spent a semester abroad studying in Japan with a focus on the influence of traditional architecture in a contemporary architectural culture. Upon graduation, he co-founded the innovative design practice, HEDGE design collective, a collaborative think tank of design practitioners. As Project Designer/Architect for the renowned firm of Brooks Scarpa, Jackson’s design work spanned interior design projects for major industry companies, mixed use building, as well as planning and design development for the City of Santa Monica Colorado Court SRO. Jackson also co-created the development company, pollen8 LLC, specializing in custom residential developments with a focus on green construction materials, practices and life-cycle value, with principal duties consisting of business development, project design, and construction management. His principle focus is understanding the strategic project objectives with a keen eye on revenue generation that yields unique design results.

Leslie Laskin-Reese

Driven by her love for people and places, Leslie brings a keen eye for experiential design and storytelling. Her projects have focused on hospitality, retail, health clubs and spas, and workplace including such brands as Marriott, Hilton, Oracle Corporation, Bon Appetit Management Company, PGA West, Macy’s, Emporium and Exploratorium. Leslie’s effective communication, thoughtful organization and (unrelenting) tenacity realize successful projects for all stakeholders.

When shes not working on a project shes creating note cards, jewelry, a better way to get through daily chores, her own stories (both true and not so much), a new garden, furniture, recipes. And most importantly relationships….with family, friends and clients. Leslie lives in San Francisco with one hubby, one small dog, a very large cat, three chickens and a son and daughter who come and go.
